These commercials spread awareness of exactly which of your favorite local businesses were currently in the BThrifty savings network and notify you of what discounts to expect online at www.bthrifty.com. Television was a vital part of a synergistic program which also included the BGreen Savings Card, Savings Alert Email Blasts, RSS Coupon Feeds, Paid Search, Social Media, & the BThrifty Smart Shopper Magazine.
From inception our mission remained clear. To brand BThrifty.com and showcase our participating merchants' offers and coupons. We strived to enhance local communities by boosting local economies. We fostered a connection between consumers and their local merchants on Main Street while creating top-of-mind brand awareness for small businesses. BThrifty helped level the unfair playing field that local business owners face against the corporate chain stores and big-box stores by offering them otherwise unaffordable advertising.
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to you today. Our hand has been forced by the cable television powers that be (in this case Comcast & Comcast Spotlight) and we will no longer be able to bring you the great savings and discounts that you have come to love and expect from the local merchants in your area.
As you know, BThrifty developed a one-of-a-kind, integrated marketing solution for local businesses and franchises.
At the very heart of this program were co-op cable television commercials for small businesses who otherwise couldn’t afford to brand their businesses on TV.

In an effort to be environmentally responsible many of you had signed up for our “BGreen Card” - a paperless coupon card that eliminated the waste associated with printed coupons. We encouraged environmental responsibility and chose to lead by example. Digital delivery of advertising (TV/Web) was at the core of our program. Our website was even hosted on solar powered servers.
What was present then and has remained to this day is a belief in this community and the people who make it what it has become and
what it will be. We part in sorrow because we know so much lies ahead. We hope you will remember what we were building and continue to put your best foot forward to support your local businesses and the environment.
Farewell – and thank you for making BThrifty what it was!
Sincerely,
BThrifty
